Beauly Firth and Glens Trust

A Welcome from Trust Chairperson, Mrs Julie MacDonald.

On behalf of the Beauly Firth & Glens Trust, I am pleased to welcome you to our website.

June 2007 saw the opening of our new permanent exhibition on the Beauly Priory and the local clans and tartans. The new exhibition has given the Centre a totally new look and complements the  old Village Store which still remains as popular as ever. Visitors can have a very hands-on approach to rummaging through the drawers of old silk stockings, gentlemen's hosiery and undergarments and lots of other interesting articles that will bring back memories to the older visitors whilst providing great amusement to the younger generations!

As well as our exhibitions, we also have a full tourist information service point situated in our gift shop and an extensive range of local area books provided in Beauly's only bookstore.

We are holding a children's clothing sale in January and early February so come along have a look round.   We also have nursery accessories in our gift shop and are constantly building up our range of books and gifts.

There has also been another new addition to the Centre.   Ellen Marshall - our resident kiltmaker (Caledonian Kilts) who provides a full kilt- making and kilt-hire service.

I will be making regular progress reports throughout the coming months but please do call in at the Centre to see for yourselves exactly what is taking place.
