Beauly Firth and Glens Trust

Welcome to the Beauly Centre

The Beauly Centre is owned and operated by the Beauly Firth and Glens Trust and is situated in the heart of this picturesque market town. In order to provide a base for the Trust, the directors purchased the former Catholic Primary School early in 1998 and with financial help from The Highland Council and the Leader II programme began the first phase of renovating the school in the winter of 98/99.

Official Opening of the Beauly Centre

With a further grant from The Highland Council and Inverness & Nairn Enterprise a second major phase in the renovations was carried out the following year and the Beauly Centre now houses the visitor attractions of the 20th Century Village Store (a traditional village shop as would have been found in the Highlands during the early part of the last Century), a kilt maker and the Clan Fraser Exhibition that displays a detailed history of the Clan and the Lovat Scouts. The Centre was officially opened in November 2002 by the Rt Hon Charles Kennedy MP, whose grandfather was a Lovat Scout.

Also housed at the Centre is a Tourist Information Point and accommodation booking service, a gift shop and book shop with a wide range of books. There is also a multi-purpose room available for hire for meetings, workshops, children's parties etc. We are also pleased that landscaping and provision of picnic tables has been completed in time for summer 2006. For full information on all of these activities please go to the relevant page on our website.
